Marita E. Kreamer

Marita E. Kreamer, 87, a resident of Linn Manor Care Center, died there Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012. A private family gathering will take place in Dubuque in the spring of 2013. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.

Survivors include her daughters, Susan Brauer Bader, wife of Gary, of Eldridge and Roberta Thiem of Parker, Colo.; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Hanson; and brothers, Robert (Jaenette) Schreiber, Charlie (Mary) Schreiber and John (Mary) Schreiber.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl; and brother, Fred.

Marita was born April 21, 1925, in Dubuque, the daughter of Charles and Emily (Weirich) Schreiber. She married Carl Kreamer on Jan. 6, 1944. Carl died March 13, 1991. Marita worked at Rockwell Collins for 30 years. She was active in the ladies American Legion, was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church and enjoyed her quilting group and volunteering for the Marion Senior Center.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Marita’s roommate Irene, for her kind companionship, and to everyone at Linn Manor Care Center, for their love and care for the last four years.

Memorials may be directed to Ascension Lutheran Church at 2210 Grand Ave., Marion, IA 52302, in Marita’s memory.
