Genevieve Mae Huffman

Genevieve Mae Huffman, 86, of Lowden, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Wheatland Manor Nursing Home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, at Zion United Church of Christ, Lowden, with Pastor Steven Stepp officiating. Burial: Van Horn Cemetery, Lowden. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence.

Survivors include sons, Robert of Mount Vernon, Raymond (Dorothy) of Cedar Rapids and Roger (Pearl) of Lowden; daughters, Millie (Wilbert) Muhs of Lowden and Mary Huffman of Cedar Rapids; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers; and a son, Rudolph.

Genevieve was born Sept. 26, 1926, in Olin, Iowa, to Oscar Newton and Golda Hayes Hollingsworth. She married Raymond Huffman Sept. 6, 1945, in Olin. He died in 1987.

Genevieve was a homemaker along with working at the Clarence and Wheatland Nursing Homes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
