Holliday, Dale
Dale Holliday, 74, of Cedar Rapids, died at home Monday, Dec. 3, 2012. Services: 11 a.m. Thursday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories by Certified Celebrant Julie Freese. Interment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Karen; children, Karisa Josephson and Ida (Don) Price, all of Cedar Rapids, Cindy Shaffer of Mount Vernon, David (Lynda) Holliday of Keystone, Vickie Lamz of Hampshire, Ill., Randy (Lupe) of Herriman, Utah, Dawn Davis of Graham, Wash. and Alicia (Ray) Southwick of Des Moines; brother, Dennis (Lindsey) Holliday of Wichita, Kan.; 24 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Donald.
Dale was born May 27, 1938, in Waukon, to Robert and Marie Holliday. He married Karen Novey on Oct. 25, 1987. He was a bus driver for the City of Cedar Rapids, retiring in 1999. Dale liked watching and attending NASCAR races and riding motorcycles. He loved spending time with his family.
The family would like to thank St. Luke’s Hospice for their compassionate care.
