John F. Harrington III, 53, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at his home. Funeral Mass: 9:30 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Chris Podhasky will officiate. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his sister, Michele Altieri of Denver, Colo.; several cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

John was born Dec. 23, 1959, in Denver, Colo., the son of John and Mary Jean Reindl Harrington III. He married his wife, Debbie, in 1988 in Colorado. She died in 1998. John was a computer technician for the telephone company for many years. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
