Susan Marie Langhurst Harries, 55, of Springville, Iowa, died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, after a long battle with cancer.

The family will greet friends from 10 to 11 a.m. at Springville Presbyterian Church in Springville, Iowa, on Wednesday, Nov. 14, with a memorial service to follow.

Susan is survived by her parents, David and Judy Langhurst; brothers, Jim Langhurst, Mike (Sarah) Langhurst, and Dave Langhurst; sister, Katy Nji; grandmother, Florence Miska; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Galen Harries.

Susan was born Aug. 26, 1957, in Cedar Rapids to David and Judy (Miska) Langhurst.

Contributions in her memory may be made to Oldorf Hospice House of Hiawatha or the Cedar Valley Humane Society.
