Hall, Jean A.
Jean A. Hall, 83, of Washington, died Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington.
The daughter of Earl and Wanda (Murphy) Wood, she was born Dec. 2, 1928, in Canton, Ill. On May 24, 1947, she married Harold Hall; he died April 5, 2006. She was a graduate of Ainsworth High School. She was a member of the Ainsworth Community Church and volunteered at the Ainsworth American Legion. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing cards and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She was a homemaker and waitress.
Survivors include five sons, Charles “Eddie” Hall of Ainsworth, Michael Hall of Columbus Junction, Kim Hall of Ainsworth, Kevin Hall of Ainsworth and Bruce Hall of Crawfordsville; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five sisters, Joan Sueppel, Nancy White and Mary Putman, all of Washington, Jeanette Bergman of Sauk City, Wis., and Jane Johnson; and three brothers, Jim Wood, Tim Wood and Mike Wood, all of Washington;
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother, Frank.
The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at the Ainsworth Community Church, with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Interment will follow at Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Ainsworth Community Church, where the family will receive friends.
Memorials have been established for the Ainsworth Opera House and the Ainsworth American Legion.
