Angela “Angie” Grube

Angela “Angie” Grube, 85, of Charles City, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at her home. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Jan. 5 at Immaculate Conception Church Jan 5, 2013.

Angela was born on April 2, 1927 in Oelwein, Iowa, to Laurel and Esther (Ritchie) Baker. She graduated from Maynard High School as valedictorian of her class and attended Gates Business College in Waterloo. She married Ralph Grube on June 7, 1952, in Charles City.

Those left to cherish her memories include her daughters, Beverly Grube of Charles City and Jane (Harry) Hawley of Marion; brother, Frederick Baker; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; brothers, George, Harvey and Keith Baker; along with two brothers in infancy.
