Stephen Charles Faulkner Sr., 66, of Fort Madison, passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at his home.

He was born on April 14, 1946, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Dean Orval and Dorothy Stevens Faulkner. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Washington High School. He worked at the Iowa State Penitentiary and also ran his own upholstery shop. He loved his grandchildren and riding his Harley Davidson.

Steve is survived by one son, Stephen (Shea) Faulkner Jr. of Krum, Texas; two grandchildren; four brothers, Archie, Randy, Dean Jr. and Van Faulkner, all of Cedar Rapids; and his stepmother who raised him, Bernice Faulkner of Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Per his wishes, his body has been cremated by King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory and a graveside service will be held at Cedar Memorial Cemetery in Cedar Rapids at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7.
