Eggleston, Barbara A.
Barbara A. Eggleston, 82, of Cottage Grove Place died there on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013, after a short illness. Services at 10 a.m. Friday at Noelridge Christian Church. The Rev. Stew Royce will officiate. Burial at 3 p.m. Friday at the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.
Survivors include her son, Michael and his wife, Becky of Brainerd, Minn.; two granddaughters, Jennifer and husband Adam from St. Charles, Mo. and Melissa and her husband, Lance of Rochester, Minn.; a grandson, Thomas of Brainerd, Minn.; and many many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a daughter, Trudy; and a brother, Walter Stark.
Barb was born on Oct. 15, 1930, in Boone, the daughter of Walter and Hazel Clark Stark. She married Tom Eggleston on June 28, 1953, in Boone. Tom died in 2010. Barb was a homemaker and worked in the Radiology Department at St. Luke’s Hospital, retiring from there after 17 years of service.
Barb was a faithful and devoted member of Noelridge Christian Church, did volunteer work for Camp Courageous and was a longtime member of Eastern Star. She was a terrific baker and also enjoyed cooking. Barb was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend whose memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial donations may be given to Noelridge Christian Church or Camp Courageous.
