Drees, Rebeca A. 'Becky'
Rebecca A “Becky” Drees, 22, of 3135 218th St., Earlville, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at 2:05 p.m. at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City from injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident. Friends and relatives of Becky may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Monday, July 5, at Reiff Funeral Home in Dyersville, where a wake service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Services for Becky will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Basilica of St. Francis Xavier in Dyersville, with the Rev. Robert Gross officiating. Burial will be held in St. Clements Cemetery in Bankston.
Rebecca was born Aug. 13, 1987, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Ron and Nancy (Pins) Drees. She was a 2006 graduate of Western Dubuque High School in Epworth. In 2009, she received her Associate degree in liberal arts at Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo. She was currently enrolled in the Surgical Technician Program at Northeast Iowa Community College. She was employed part time at Modernfold, Country Junction, and most recently at Diamonds Edge Landscaping while attending college.
Becky lived life to the fullest, she always had a smile on her face, and always knew how to make you laugh. She touched so many lives.
She is survived by her parents, Ron and Nancy Drees of Earlville; three siblings, Jeremy Drees (and friend, Danyelle McClendon), Jayme Drees (and friend, Steve Hall), both of Cedar Rapids, and Danny Drees at home; one nephew, Nolan Drees; her grandmothers, Rosemary Pins of Bankston and Anna Jean Drees of Dyersville; aunts and uncles, Mary Sue (Gene) Schultz of Earlville, Donald (Kim) Pins of Dubuque, Janet (Joe) Kluesner of Bankston, Tom (Carrie) Pins and Mark (Barb) Pins, both of Dubuque, Jean (Dean) Recker of Manchester, Kevin (Colleen) Drees of Dyersville and John “Jack” (Joan) Drees of Colesburg; and many close cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, John Drees and Sylvester “Vessie” Pins; and an uncle, Gary Drees.
