Darrow, Camille Marie Lacoste
Camille Marie Lacoste Darrow, 90, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, in her home. Visitation: Sunday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2 until 5 p.m. Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, by Lieutenant Michael Sjogren. Burial follows service at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
She was born Feb. 7, 1922, in New Orleans, La., the daughter of Camile and Augustine (Cantin) Lacoste. She married Newell L. Darrow on Sept. 18, 1943, and they spent their married life in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Survivors include her children, Bonnie Darrow of Yreka, Calif., Larry (Vickie) of Nixa, Mo., Dennis (Rhonda) Darrow of Santa Rosa, Calif., Randy (Ada) Darrow of Susanville, Calif., Gary (Jeanine) Darrow of Cedar Rapids and Rick Darrow of Cedar Rapids; her son-in-law, Gary Rothman of Pittsgrove, N.J.; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; eight siblings; husband, Newell Darrow; daughter, Cheryl Rothman; and granddaughter, Caitlin.
Camille was a homemaker, retail sales person, restaurant cook and baker, and an in-home health care provider.
