Virginia R. Dahl, 76, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, in her home, surrounded by her family. Services: private. Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include three sons, Martin John Dahl, Michael Lee (Jodi Achey) Dahl and Marshall Victor Allen (Janis Lindeman-Dahl), all of Cedar Rapids; three brothers, Lyle (Judy) Rodgers and Bobby Dick Rodgers, both of Arizona, and Francis (Doris) Rodgers of Waterloo; her grandchildren, Mary Ann Settles, Nicole Walters, Desiree Dahl and Michele (Kale) Bright, and a stepgrandchild, Brandon Clemmons, all of Cedar Rapids; and her great-grandchildren, Xean Vail and Ivy Blackburn, both of Cedar Rapids, and Logan, Madison and Jahni, all of Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Mary Ann Hunter; a sister, Ann Sparrgrove; and a brother, Wayne Rodgers.
Virginia was born April 1, 1936, in Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of Lyle and Mary (King) Rodgers. She was employed with St. Luke’s Hospital in housekeeping. She loved reading, gardening, crocheting, playing cards and spending time with family and friends. Virginia was always helping people.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
