Carol M. Cozart

Carol M. Cozart, 81, of Olin, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Jones Regional Medical Center, Anamosa. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Lahey Funeral Home in Olin. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Olin Cemetery, Olin, Iowa.

Carol Maxine Rasmussen was born April 1, 1931, in Jones County, Iowa, the daughter of Ernest and Lillie (Hartwig) Rasmussen. She married Harlan Cozart on June 2, 1948, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. He died Nov. 14, 2000.

Carol was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Olin. She enjoyed crocheting, bingo and letter writing.

Carol is survived by two daughters, Ranae Cozart of Olin and Kim (Dan) Corrie of Centralia, Ill.; one son, Rodney (Kathy) Cozart of Olin; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Gaylord (Helen) Rasmussen of DeWitt.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a daughter, Margo Brewer on Aug. 17, 2012.

Memorials are preferred.
