Kathleen June Conaway

Kathleen June Conaway, 64, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at her home. Celebration of Life: 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 16, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Marion. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.

Survivors include two daughters, Kristin (Brett) Meyer and Gina (Jason) Fisher; three brothers, Doug (Sharon) McComb, Steve (Connie) McComb and Bruce (Marcy) McComb; numerous nieces; nephews; cousins; great friends; and a grandson, due to be born in January.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Kathleen was born July 10, 1948, the daughter of Lester and June (Olson) McComb in Fargo, N.D. She graduated from Mount Mercy College with a degree in Psychology.

Kathleen was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church and enjoyed Christian fellowship with friends and family. She had a positive attitude and inspired others. She went quietly and without fanfare just as she would have wanted.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her memory.
