Clara N. Bunker

Clara N. Bunker, 94, of Marion, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Linn Manor Care Center in Marion. There will be a celebration of her life at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Cedar Valley Bible Church, by the Rev. Tom Fogle and the Rev. Sean Lillis. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.

Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie (Chuck) Lillis of Marion; a sister, Antonia Smith of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Sean (Sarah) Lillis and Brooke (Matthew) Schefers; and eight great-grandchildren, Caleb, Dalaney, Cael, Deacon, Beckham, Jorja, McLean and Haddon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth G. Bunker; and three sisters, Victoria Burhman, Marie Usher and Henrietta Cubbage.

Clara was born March 18, 1918, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Alberts) Cop in Cedar Rapids. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1936. Clara married Kenneth G. Bunker on April 2, 1949. He died Jan. 18, 1988.

A memorial fund has been established in memory of Clara.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks for the loving care that was provided to Clara by Mercy Hospice and Linn Manor.
