Britcher, Harold Lou
Harold Lou Britcher, 78, of Cedar Rapids, died at Heritage Nursing and Rehab on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
Survivors include his daughters, Cynthia (Joseph) Schupanitz and Tracey (Scott Peterson) Pike, both of Cedar Rapids; brothers, Henry Britcher of Davenport, Billy (Phyllis) Britcher of Ackley and Gary (Sue) Britcher of Tucson, Ariz.; sisters, Laura Oberholser of Clarence and Rebecca (Curtis) Long of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren and three great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bradley; brother, Richard; and a sister, Margaret.
Harold was born Sept. 23, 1934, in Clarence to Myron and Galilee Britcher. He and his brother Zeke owned and operated Zeke and Harry’s Tire Service in Cedar Rapids. He purchased a Gulf gas station which was later sold. He then worked and retired from US West.
