Bean, Ronald (R.B.)
Ronald (R.B.) Bean, 69, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, following a long illness at Crestview Acres in Marion.
Ron was born July 25, 1943 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Herman and Lucille Mulinex Bean.
He is survived by his brother, Craig Bean of Washington, Iowa; a sister, Mary Sellars of Texarkana; his aunts, Sandy Wells, Sonja Frazier and Loretta Simmon, all of Cedar Rapids; an uncle, Leroy Loveless of Marion; a granddaughter, Ashley Jenkins of Oxford Junction; also many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister and his stepfather.
Ron served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He drove semi over the road for 30 years, accident free, mainly for Somerville Trucking. He really enjoyed his horses, going to horseshoes and rodeos.
He was a member of AQHA and Paint Horse Associations.
R.B. is sure going to be dearly missed by us all. We’ve decided on a Celebration of Life for R.B. to be held at the Cedar Rapids Horseman’s Club in Western, Iowa, on March 2, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please bring a covered dish and we can all have potluck together.
