Janis K. Baltisberger, 65, of Newton, Iowa, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. A celebration of her life will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell. Interment will be in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Malcom. Visitation will be held from 2 until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and the family will be present to greet friends from 5 until 7 p.m.

Janis is survived by her children, Ben (Paula) Baltisberger of Newton, Rebecca (Blake) Anderson of Keystone and Brian Baltisberger of Grinnell; seven grandchildren; and her siblings, Georgia VanRoekel of Montezuma, Ruth Vanderhoof of Red Oak, Chris (Rig) Nerhus of Fort Madison, Linda (Chuck) Miller of DeWitt and Steven Suess of Des Moines.
