Wynona L. Armstrong, 47, of Council Bluffs, passed away Jan. 29, 2013.

She was born in Council Bluffs on Nov. 20, 1965, to Richard and Wynona (Strickland) Lewis. Wynona graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with the class of 1984. She had worked for many years as a veterinary technician.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Lewis.

Wynona is survived by her husband, Rusty Armstrong; daughter, Haleigh Armstrong; mother, Wynona Lewis; sisters, Charlene Barak (Steve) and Goldie Nielsen (Jim); brothers, Richard Lewis (Stephanie), Michael Lewis and Herman Lewis; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be 11 a.m. Friday at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home in Council Bluffs. Visitation will take place during the hour before the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Council Bluffs Animal Shelter.
