Bonnie Jean Stewart Anderson

Bonnie Jean Stewart Anderson, 84, of Cedar Rapids, died at St. Luke’s Hospital, Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, after a short illness. Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories by the Rev. Jay Miller of Knox Presbyterian Church. Friends may call after 9 a.m. until time of service.

Survivors include her children, Barbara (Dan) Olmstead of Center Point and Alan (Kim) Anderson of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Jennifer (Brad) Brecke and Jason (Carrie) Olmstead, Matthew (Carrie) Olmstead and Michelle Olmstead, Kelsey (James) Juett and Riley Anderson; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, David Stewart of Marion; sister, Ann (Vern) Bagley of Cedar Rapids; and many special friends, including the Mexican Train Ladies and her condo group.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; and son, Carl Jr.

Bonnie was born Nov. 1, 1928, to Glen and Alice Stewart. She married Carl H. Anderson on Oct. 17, 1948. Bonnie retired from AT&T after 30 years. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and Knox Presbyterian Church. She loved quilting and doing puzzles. Her greatest love was for her family.
