Bernice Hungerford

Bernice Hungerford, 88, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at Bickford Cottage in Des Moines. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m., with a visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m., Friday, Jan. 25, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories.

Bernice was born Jan. 12, 1925, in Lost Nation, Iowa. She married William A. Hungerford on June 8, 1946, and they had 41 happy years together until his death in 1987.

She is survived by her two daughters, Vicki (Merrill) Klemm of Cedar Rapids and Tracy (Bob) Shwery of West Des Moines; two grandsons, Joshua (Jessica) Shwery and Matthew (Aimee) Shwery; and a great grandson, Logan Shwery.
