The Amana Church’s Prelude to Christmas Holiday Bazaar will be held Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, with the Amana Church’s Prelude to Christmas Cookie Walk on Dec. 1.

The Amana Church Holiday Bazaar offers for sale handmade items, Christmas ornaments, woodcrafts, needlework, yeast breads, jams, preserves and more. Open from 12:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Amana Church in Amana. Select from handmade needlecrafts, woodcrafts, textiles and more made especially for the bazaar. A wide variety of items from Christmas ornaments and folk arts to homemade cinnamon rolls, jams, jellies and preserves, antiques and notions are featured.

On Dec. 1, the Amana Church Cookie Walk opens its doors as Amana Christmas cookie bakers create thousands of homemade Christmas cookies, candies and holiday treats especially for this unique event. For $22, patrons purchase a generously-sized cookie box, which holds anywhere from 4 to 6 dozen cookies and fill these with their own selection of treats.

Patrons stop by the Amana Church Bazaar at 9 a.m. Saturday to pick up their reservation time for the cookie walk. The cookie walk begins at noon and continues until all cookies and candies are sold.

Proceeds from the Amana Church Cookie Walk and Holiday Bazaar benefit the free after school kid’s program and the free summer vacation Bible camp open to all area children.

The Amana Church is located in the village of Amana, 1/2 block west of the Festhalle’s Tannenbaum Forest Christmas display.
