Baier - Beenken Engagement Kelly and Rachelle Baier of Cedar Rapids announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Alison Baier to Lucas Colin Beenken, son of Kenny and Deb Beenken of Belmond, IA. The future bride and groom both graduated from Drake University in Des Moines, IA. Kate furthered her education at the University of Iowa College of Law and is an attorney with Ahlers and Cooney, P.C., in Des Moines. Lucas earned his Masters in Public Administration from American Military University and currently serves his home district of Belmond on the Wright County Board of Supervisors. The happy couple will be united in marriage on January 26, 2013, in Des Moines.
