Steve, Casinos do offer more than gambling. I have been to concerts at both Riverside & Tama and didn’t touch foot in the casino. One of the best parties I attended was by the pool at Riverside.
Cedric, Has it occurred to you that the house numbers are low due to their lacking oversight of this corrupt administration? Where is the accountability in the senate? Harry Reid? Will Roberta spell check your post?
Ken, That’s your explanation? Script written over Governor Perry’s face? It only proves that liberals count on gullible stupid people such as yourself to believe their lies and shame on you Mr. Ken for spreading them!
Cedric, I guess you could call it the “citizens against everything data base.” It was formed by a group of old hags during the Clancey administration and seemed to have disappeared when the city spent taxpayer money on more worthwhile projects, like downtown artwork, new ways to park a car and an embarrassing excuse for [...]
Regulators can ok licenses based on owners viability, etc. but if casinos are competing hard to entice gamblers now, what’s the downside to having more? I would drive past CR knowing Riverside had better entertainment or loser slots. Which reminds me, none of the articles even mention the criminality factor that was to become so [...]

Campaigning in every county you are hoping to represent is very important. Just as important, in my opinion, is to have those appearances well published in advance and open to questions from concerned voters on issues they care about. Who wants to go to an event and listen to a campaign infomercial for 30 mins.? [...]
Did I burst that cozy bubble you like to surround yourself in? You have certainly found a cozy home in that like minded brain. What does occur to me Roberta, is that you must lay in waiting for a warm body to comment and then you post like your opinion is the only one that [...]

Minutes of the meetings too long? Go back to 3 supervisors and make their positions part time.
There seems to be a common theme to these stories written about the juvenile home. Branstad bad. Senate democrats & unions staff, good. As if failed education programs, restraints & the misuse of isolation rooms isn’t enough, we are then treated to a typical non answer by politician Liz Mathis to any specifics after declaring [...]
“What do the IRS problems have to do with voter fraud.” More like voter suppression and manipulation, read up on it Mr. Independant. Neither of you have heard about the problems with the IRS? Maybe you would know if you spent more time reading and stop wasting mine with dumb questions. Roberta, what part of [...]
Cedric, We need more watchdogs in Washington like Schultz but you do have a point about the money spent. Although libs don’t have a leg to stand on when it comes to spending other people’s money, it would seem that the info. that was uncovered could have been found through various govt. agencies we already [...]

Didn’t the libs in California vote gay marriage down only to have a judge(s) overturn their vote? Likewise for Utah, Oregon and Iowa.
Joe’s brain injury prevents him from remembering the fact that 3 of those judges were thrown from the bench by the citizens of Iowa.
To your point Ken, voter fraud has been attempted by both parties. Candidates trying to buy elections or buying votes with a bottle of Jack Daniels. I think part of the problem is absentee votes. Remember the seasoned poll worker that voted on every single absentee ballot that came to her house even though her [...]
Roberta, I read the article but if it’s ok with you I offered further explanation the article didn’t, just as you did by mentioning Vilsack’s use of executive order. Furthermore, after Vilsack’s use of EO in 2005 he never gave the 99 counties updated information, so in part, his mistake is what triggered the investigation. [...]
Did you hear about the felons that were mistakenly left off the list due to errors made in the Vilsack/Culver administration? The errors that were found by Schultz and their voting rights reinstated by Schultz. If people wouldn’t abuse the system, we wouldn’t need expensive investigations to root them out. Hope he goes after all [...]

First of all, I DO NOT CARE who is coming out this week. But while this question may appeal to the MSNBC crowd, I am more concerned about why an Iranian warship is heading for our coast. Maybe this picture will appeal to both camps.
Brad, You’re making too much sense. Roberta, Sometimes in crisis situations, the important thing to do is get these girls in a temporary safe place until an alternative is found. If your apartment was burning would you take a vote with other tenants before calling the fire dept.? Interesting, Jack Hatch, AFSCME President Danny Homan [...]
