Now I know why Ben Rogers had his hand out in all the photos , he is making less than the rest. Does Mr Bice/Mr Engelken have a website?

  • terry elam commented on the blog post Hlas: Tiger’s illegal drop drops golf on its ear   2 months ago · View

I remember watching Legend of Bagger Vance and all golfers shoud have taken a lesson from that great movie in the outcome of it. Only Tiger knows if he took an unfair advantage with his drop. The rules of golf are quite clear when you drop, ignorance of the rules should never be the excuse. He [...]

This sounds like the typical family meeting question when jimmy asks dad and doesnt get the right answer so he asks mom and gets it. I do have one question, I believe it was Olson who voted against the 20K raise, when is he going to step forward and refuse it? Or was that a [...]

  • terry elam commented on the blog post Tough calls tough to take for Iowa   3 months ago · View

When you saw Marble get bowled over on the 3 point effort, you had to know something magical was going to happen. The whole NCAA program is a sham, it is being run by money and greed by the tv contracts/universities. They wanted MSU against OSU on Saturday and they got it. The only question [...]

Acquatic Centers at Noelridge,Ellis,Beaver and Jones will be shut down if we have another one. We are still paying for these thru our taxes. Can we just fix the roads in this town.

  • terry elam commented on the blog post Supervisor pay raise arguments are not convincing   4 months, 1 week ago · View

Am I wrong, but is the linn county supervisor position not an elected position? Remember that when you go to the polls next time. Next Story Todd…..

  • terry elam commented on the blog post Hlas: Hawkeyes do enough, now must do more   4 months, 2 weeks ago · View

It is time for gazelle and woodbury to show up for these games. Hawks need to get a go to guy and for sure Marble is not that guy, either. They should have beat PSU by 30 and Fran knew it ( and showed it too). Too much dribbling around, driving down the court and [...]

  • terry elam commented on the blog post Will the Iowa men’s basketball team make the NCAA tournament?   4 months, 3 weeks ago · View

As I watched marble dribble the ball between his legs and wander around the court aimlessly, looking to be the hero, I wondered why are we not getting the ball inside the paint and just win the game with a bucket or sink 1 of 2 free throws in regulation? At the end of the [...]

Gessel and Woodbury need to understand that they are not playing high school basketball. They both need to sit and watch more. Bad passes are killing this team in close games. Someone needs to teach Woodbury to dunk over the opponent rather than gliding to the glass with a finger roll, also They are pounding [...]

  • the last few years, this type of play calling is routine for Iowa Football. The coaching staff ( entire one) has no confidence in their own play calling as well as the execution of the players for their confidence. This is a lesson for every player on this team to learn just like the train [...]

  • It is obvious to me that vanderberg has one receiver in his passing game, unfortunately the defense knows and can see it in his eyes when he drops back. How many times, did I say “who is he throwing it to” He continually throws into triple coverage with 2 of the three defenders in front [...]

hey Ben, I am going to give you a 100K free money and all I ask is you keep your studies up and get a average GPA , you dont owe me a thing back. If you can not do that then dont accept the deal, If you decide to not hold up your end [...]

welcome sign is nice and beautiful but “drive on our roads at your own risk” should also be added to the sign.

  • terry elam commented on the blog post Game Report: Iowa State 9, Iowa 6   9 months, 1 week ago · View

PATHETIC. That is the only word that is inclusive of this game. The season will be long if they can not come and show some effort on the field. The coaching staff had no game plan and it has shown the first two games.

  • This is no difference than someone texting. Taking your eyes off the road, especially, on this section of 380 will cause accidents. What happens when the car in front of you decides to slow to 40MPH so he can read the oncoming events and the car behind him ( driving at 55)does not because he [...]

Funny thing is I went to a district meeting held by Kris on Staurday past and he never mentioned this once. He did say that 42nd street is not on the list for road repair any time soon, however. Thanks for spending our tax money wisely

  • terry elam commented on the blog post New school zone signals funded by traffic cameras   10 months ago · View

Great use of this money. Maybe we can generate another 250K and fix some roads, besides 1st avenue.

  • terry elam commented on the blog post Cedar Rapids council bypasses master plan for rec center   10 months ago · View

how much asphalt could the city have bought for 213K and maybe fix a road in town? Sometimes, it makes me think we would be better off if we had gravel roads and buggys instead of front end alignment billls.
