First of all, you seem miserable. Secondly, they deserve a bowl game, what would you do…turn it down? Thirdly, 2 more wins is more than doable, Lastly, a bowl game equals more practice time, therefore a better product next year. With fans like you, who needs opponents?
Proud to call myself a fellow Denison H.S. Alum, and even more proud of Brandon representing Denison, the Hawkeyes and the state of Iowa so well. He is exactly what I would expect…. from his love of the outdoors to his character and work ethic. That is the way parents raise their kids in Denison [...]
Let me translate….”GET AS LOUD AS FREAKING POSSIBLE FROM BEGINNING TO END REGARDLESS OF SCORE OR TIME LEFT!” I guarantee you that is what he and all the coaches and every loyal Hawkeye fan wants and what the opponents dread! GO HAWKS!
SC, I agree right down the line with everything you said. I too believe the program is improving and headed in a positive direction, but this is truly not acceptable, for all the reasons you stated.

I think you are 100% on the money with your comments. I think the potential is starting to show and the passing game is only going to get better.
Great story! I have enjoyed this and other articles of late, that reflect positively on the State of Iowa, U of I, Iowa football, and most importantly on the young men as people as well as athletes. Go Hawks!
Great story and a refreshing view of a D-1 college athlete. Obviously, the Alvis parents did a phenomenal job raising all of their children. A great role model for all of us with young children, especially in this increasingly difficult child rearing environment.
You have me in the number of years you have been a fan, but I guess we will just have to agree to disagree on the job the QB did. In reading some other sources, our QB got pretty positive reviews overall by ESPN and others. He of course didn’t have the career game that [...]
For his first start ever in a college game, I was impressed with the poise and confidence our QB showed. He obviously made an errant throw on the last (and costly) interception, but to say he played really poorly and should be replaced or subbed out during the game is utterly ridiculous! He is much [...]
Is sarcasm and negativity the only thing we can communicate any more?? My gosh…how about the awesome upgrade and positive effect this will have on a lot of fronts, one being recruiting (which is huge for Iowa). Atmosphere and the overall feeling a kid gets from a gameday experience on a visit goes a long [...]
Michael Francois commented on the blog post How would you rate Iowa’s football recruiting class? 2 years, 9 months ago · View
I think it is a great class. Iowa takes good players and makes them better (makes some great). I realize we won’t know much for a couple of years, but as recruiting classes for Iowa go, this is a good one. If I had to grade it, I would give it a B – B+. [...]
