I love it Scott! Now all we need to happen is for the season to play out exactly as you say it should.
Bravo on not handing the Big Ten to Nebraska as every other mid-west sports writer is content to do.

I disagree with you both Charles and Jeff. People that “just build” without paying attention to the historical and environmetal side effects are what give builders and developers a bad name (and I am one). The wall will get built, but instead of moving dirt tomorrow, lets learn a few things first.

I agree with you Jeff.Consistency is what the Iowa excels at. However, our defense this year is anything but consistant. When we get conssistant play from the defense, the Offense can go back to business as usual. Until then, pull out the stops.

As usual after a Cyclone victory they will go on to a sub .500 year and the Hawkeyes will regroup and contend for the Big Ten title.

Mike, you are a regular James Joyce.
A Cyclone win was hard to stomach, but if history tells us anything, Kirk and the boys will come back stronger from the loss.

Mike, could you please send the list to all current and future Iowa recruits?
Let’s send it to the nation’s top 100 recruits as well.

Coach Ferentz has brought consistancy to the Iowa program and the way the team looks is a representation of that.
I am glad we have the “ANF” back on the helmets.

You are correct Mr. Bates that the people define their city. However, without some job creation and infrastructure investment, what will keep young people in CR? As a Eastern Iowan living out of state, I applaud any attempt at economic redevelopment in CR. You can keep your taxes low and your streets empty, but where [...]

Serve and protect.
Law enforcement officers signed up to be public servants. This citizen and anyone else has the right to complain about their actions.
Too many citizens as well as most law enforcement officials forget that they work for the people and are not above the law or public scruteny.

For me the main thing the preseason polls do is get fans fired-up for college football. Look at the two of us making comments a full week before a game has been played.

Remember Ann, that is a partial term longer than our current President served as anything more than a “not present” Senator.
I love how people are so willing to trash someone who made an unsuccesful run as a VP, but won’t touch the Pres and his glamourus comunity organizer backround.
Get serious.

Well played sir.
I think Palin and Trump serve as excellent “lighting rods” to the Republican party. I am sure the actual canidates appreciate some of the media heat being drawn away from them.
Now all the Repubs need is a decent canidate.

I really can’t believe anyone can look at the situation since the inaguration and not be furious. Annoyed or disapointed are not strong enough words. The fact of the matter is that Obama had a situation politicians dream of. A super-majority, the Nation’s overwhelming support and real problems with what most would look at as [...]

I think maybe we just save a bunch of time and hand Nebraska the Big Ten title now. Judging by the national media, this will be a cake walk for them. Personally, I will be surprised if Nebraska finishes in the top two of the Legends division. Maybe I am too optimistic, but I see [...]

Native Iowan living in Colorado since college. Don’t let the shiney man in Boulder fool you. Boulder is an extension office for the State of California. It really doesn’t have the same social mix as the rest of the state. Also, you should see Hawk fans turn out at Colorado bars on Saturdays. Iowa football [...]

I second that Todd, but would add all defensive positions to the list for players that should consider Iowa if they want to learn how to make it to the next level.
