Thae challenge is to get past the narrow-minded liberal low information voters who really have no idea what Obama and the Democratic Party are doing to ruin the country and to get the news media to fairly represent his point of view rather than the liberal perspective on his point of view. Dorman’s lens is [...]

“Cutting funding for the ANCHOR Center, specifically, would be more than foolish — it would be shameful”

Not long ago you wrote a piece on bullying. Looks to my like in every piece you stoop to mean-spirited namecalling. Can’t take you seriously.

  • 1 – Don’t pass the current gun control supported by President Obama. It will only prevent law-abiding citizens from arming them-selves. How would you feel if one of the Boston bombers came to your door to hide? 2 – Take a second look at the immigration bill. Are we setting up to allow more radicals [...]

  • “There is no more debating climate change. The question now is: What are we going to do about it?” The solution is really quite simple. If we could get all of the simplitons to stop talking we could eliminate the hot air that is raising the temperature around them. Then we could get on with [...]

  • “The earth’s climate is changing. That isn’t a theory. It’s not controversial. It’s a fact.” Your are correct Jennifer. An examination shows that over millions of yearts the Earth’s climate changes. A more recent examination of the climate shows that there is nothing extreme or abnormal about climate change and the only way to connect [...]

  • Anyone calling federal Medicaid “free” is very dishonest and deceptive. 1 – The Federal government will not be able to sustain the “free” category. 2 – Iowan’s who pay the “free” money into the federal coffers will get no bargain as they will get less of the “free” money back than we pay in. 3 [...]

  • Gary Ellis commented on the blog post ‘Illegal Immigrant’ was lazy reporting   1 month ago · View

Todd you reveal why no one can consider you a good journalist. 1 – So if anyone writes a piece associated with the use, expenditure or activity in violation of public administration AND the activity was associated with an illegal immgrant they should label them as an illegal because of the association. 2 – What’s [...]

  • Gary Ellis commented on the blog post So will the school reforming be done soon?   1 month ago · View

Notice that the Democrats sword is limited to making sure more money is spent even if it isn’t spent wisely. I agree the GOP isn’t doing much better they at least want reform and would be willing to give on spending.

  • Gary Ellis commented on the blog post How should Congress restructure the Postal Service?   1 month ago · View

Congress should get out of the way and let the USPS operate without ridiculous restraints like 75 years of pensions. They should also allow the USPS to move away from unions and government service rules. I would like to see the USPS survive and I would give up Saturday delivery to help it survive.

  • Gary Ellis commented on the blog post How should Congress restructure the Postal Service?   1 month ago · View

You are dead wrong Mr. Sass when you say, “First of all, most, if not all, Republicans should be removed from process since most, if not all, are anti-government.” Republicans enthusiastically support good government. Democrats should be removed from the process because they whole-heartedly support bankrupting the government and promote spending on ridiculous programs.

  • Gary Ellis commented on the blog post How would Steve King fare as a Senate candidate?   1 month, 1 week ago · View

King is doing the right thing trying to assess how the population will respond to a replacement for a liberal senator like Harkin. I would vote for King in a heartbeat over Braley because he has more experience and he has the right perspective to represent Iowa. I have received several communications from Braley since [...]

  • Schools should not become defacto law enforcement by being required to search beyond the school boundary’s. Schools should be required to report bullying activities they discover outside the school to law enforcement. Activities outside the school fall under civil and legal laws.

Schools need to focus on academic excellence.

  • A drone law needs to recognize the principle of illegal search. Any act rising out of drone gathered information for an unrelated purpose should be inadmissible in court and people that attempt to bend that rule should be prosecuted for invasion of privacy. A duly authorized search warrent must be required before any drone gathered [...]

  • We live in a society where we expect equal rights under the law. Public employees should have the advantage of paying their fair share of their healthcare costs as the average citizen. I work for a very fine company and we pay closer to 40% of our healthcare insurance premiums. Seems like thie year there [...]

  • Having a high percentge of liberals in circulation is more damaging to your freedom and liberty than guns.

  • What percent of criminals register their guns?

  • Gary Ellis commented on the blog post How would you feel about more traffic cameras in Iowa?   2 months, 1 week ago · View

It’s time to stop feeding the pig. Cameras are NOT about safety they are about enhancing bloated government spending.

  • Gary Ellis commented on the blog post Does water park offer change your mind about Cedar Rapids casino vote?   2 months, 2 weeks ago · View

The water park idea doesn’t hold water. All it does is prove that the sucking sound you hear is money from Linn County tax payers being sucked out of the country to other Casinos. Vote YES to keep Linn County money and jobs in Linn County.

  • Gary Ellis commented on the blog post Does water park offer change your mind about Cedar Rapids casino vote?   2 months, 2 weeks ago · View

Not so fast Paul. “Voters in CR who are against this casino, for whatever reason, are faced off against the local elite class.” False – if as you say it will pass then a lot more than a few local elites will have voted for it. If there is a nasty surprise to come it [...]

  • Gary Ellis commented on the blog post Should lawmakers keep pushing for more information on Benghazi attack?   2 months, 4 weeks ago · View

It’s a waste of time. Americans died and Obama lied. The sad fact is you can’t fight city hall on this issue. We already know that Obama and his UN Ambassador told lies for three weeks after the Benghazi massacre. Democrats are not interested in the truth. The media isn’t interested in the truth. This [...]
