Politics is a messy bipartisan sport Todd. I didn’t hear any suggested solutions or improvements. Just stirring the pot for your own amusement? Lots of states allow fire works. Probably no more deadly than driving cars or marijuana. The problem with legalizing medical marijuana is that nobody trusts the government or the courts to be [...]

“Point made and my decision: Becky will not take the minutes of closed Board”
Ditto Todd – Seems very peculiar that the question had to be asked as the situation would be an obvious conflict of interest and an ethics question.
“Most people don’t have the time or the resources to fact check claims and counter claims. Which means that elections too often go to those who have the money to run the most tv ads” Do you really think people act that way? Are you ready to censor the likes of John Stewart or Colbert [...]
Ken raising the minimum wage is a lose, lose proposition for the working poor as well. It reduces the number of jobs and raises the price of products sold at companies who have minimum wage positions. The unemployment rate for teenagers and college students is high because other people have lost their jobs in this [...]
If you really cared about poverty and food security you would write about the abysmal job situation in the US economy which is the cause of food insecurity and the dignity of the working poor. Obviously you care more about scoring political points. The Democratic Party’s war on the American people continues: – They are [...]
The Arctic Ice Sheet at the North Pole has been expanding for some time even though the IPCC forecast that it would all melt by 2013. Underlying the article Cedric posted is information that states that sea ice around Antarctica is moving from one side of the ice sheet to other. Global atmospheric temperatures have [...]
Thanks for signing up for health insurance under the ACA Mr. President … Oh you didn’t sign up, your staff did it for you … didn’t cover your family? … kind of mean to leave them uninsured/ …. what, you think that it’s great that almost 1,000,000 people have enrolled in Obamacare ….. But haven’t [...]
The “progressive/reasoned fold” has curiously overlooked President Obama, the real GRINCH that stole Christmas from millions of American’s this year!!!! It will be interesting to see Todd’s New Years resolutions – more of the same?
Merry Christmas one and all.
Curious Todd. You imply that Megan Kelly is racist and that Mark Jacobs is sexist. Perhaps, you’re …. well a ….. Democrat in disguise! Not really funny Todd, not even a good try. Hope the New Year gives you a new perspective.
You’re right, its a long time to election day BUT Branstad has done a pretty decent job in a time of turmoil. As always is the case for a challenger, it’s up to Sen. Hatch to make a compelling argument for his candidacy. I’d be interested in the Gazette covering the compelling issues that Sen. [...]
Go easy on them Bill. When you are factually and logically challenged its hard to deal with an obvious train wreck. There are no excuses for the insurance scam the Democrats have perpetrated on the American people. What’s more interesting they seem oblivious to the fact that the GOP did honestly try to stand on [...]
You would be the one embarrassed Jack. A person (Obama) or Party (Democrats) who want to make every decision possible for individual Americans are over-bearing micromanagers and ideological ones as well. Not my problem if your level of understanding is limited.
“I keep hearing and reading that these cameras are “controversial.” There is nothing micromanaging about establishing a standard to demonstrate the quality and cost effectiveness of some actions. It doesn’t say you can’t do them it simply says prove it improves safety and isn’t a money grab. Micromanaging is when you: – One Party pushes [...]
Would you prefer FailureCare, HealthlessCare, or UnaffordableCare to Obamacare Roberta? On any front the ACA bay any names is a travesty for millions of Americans and will be as long as it survives. There is nothing in the US Constitution that promotes Federal micromanaging at the level we have today. As for Branstad he is [...]
I don’t agree with Branstad’s math but in comparison to Obama, Branstad’s performance is stellar on job creation. Under Obama we’ve experience 5 years of misery with real unemployment above 10%, a sinking work force participation rate and almost 50 million people on food stamps. Iowa has the dignity of providing jobs to thousands.
“1) he’s refused the Medicaid expansion” because it was a bait and switch lose for the STATE and the people of Iowa. “2) he didn’t authorize setting up a state exchange for ACA.” Great! The ACA will eventually fall of its own weight because the whole concept is a failure. Millions of peoples lives are [...]
Government largess. While Pomeranz has done a fine job I see no basis to justify his lofty salary or the increases. It also shows the weakness in City government that makes them lean on one person to make the big decisions that they them-selves apparently can not make. Maybe a question that deserves attention is [...]

“86% of us hate Ted Cruz”
We understand that you deal in “hate” Bell. I seriously doubt 86% of informed people hate Ted Cruz after Obama took away the insurance plans and Doctors of 5 million+ Americans. The President’s disapproval rating is approaching 60%.
