A trial date has been set for one of the suspects in an April 12 Iowa City home invasion.
DeSean V. Lipscomb, 19, of Anchorage, Alaska, entered a written not-guilty plea June 10 on charges of first-degree robbery, second-degree burglary and riot.
His trial is scheduled for August 16, following a pre-trial conference set for Aug. 5.
The charges against Lipscomb stem from an incident in Iowa City April 12, when police were called to a residence in the 200 block of Haywood Drive at 3:02 a.m. Officers said the people in the home were sleeping when their sliding glass door was smashed open and three men and one woman entered. The robbers made the residents lie face down on the floor as they stole items.
Five other suspects have also been charged in the incident.
