Jason Harriman, 35, of rural Traer faces multiple felony charges including first degree burglary and attempted murder.
Tama County Sheriff's deputies arrested Harriman Monday afternoon at his residence, following an incident between Harriman and Harriman's ex-wife, Dawn Harriman, 30, of rural Traer, which occurred late Sunday night and early Monday morning.
The Tama County Attorney is also charging Harriman with willful injury and illegal possession of a firearm. The burglary and attempted murder charges are both class B felonies, which carry up to 25 years of prison time.
The Tama County Magistrate Court set a $100,000 bond Tuesday morning following Harriman's initial court appearance. The incident is still under investigation by the Tama County Sheriff.
