Many voters are ready to move on after Tuesday’s election, which wrapped up a contentious, sometimes even divisive, 2012 campaign cycle.
Republican candidate Mitt Romney was described as “shellshocked” by his defeat, but delivered a short concession speech that earned praise from observers across the political spectrum.
But many others are holding on to hard feelings. Donald Trump was not happy with President Barack Obama’s successful campaign for a second term, and took to Twitter to express his displeasure, launching into a screed against the Electoral College and broader Democratic process. And former “Saturday Night Live” actress Victoria Jackson, a devout Christian, and Tea Party activist posted a string of tweets as well, saying, “I can’t stop crying. America died” and “Thanks a lot Christians for not showing up. You disgust me.”
Passionate reactions, to be sure. How are you reacting to the results? Are you able to put them aside, or are you still passionately exuberant or disappointed about the outcome?
