University of Iowa freshmen wrestlers Connor Ryan and Alex Meyer were arrested Tuesday night and charged with illegally hunting rabbits on the UI campus. According to a news release from UI Athletics Department, Ryan and Meyer will be suspended indefinitely until their case is addressed according to the Code of Student Life and Athletics Department Student-Athlete Code of Conduct.
The incident included the use of BB guns and air rifles.

Judging by the first article that I read about this, it appears there was more than illegal hunting involved. They were running around campus shooting rabbits because they wanted fur hats!?
So…what wrong with fur hats…
No, While is was stupid that does not rise to the level of a suspension. certainly not as severe or dangerous to the publuc as DUI ir interference with official acts that football players seen to own and are not suspended LIKE Mica Hyde. If those wrestlers were football players they would be protected and would play first and administered justice at a later date.
My first reaction here was: Say WHAT? Who do these guys think they are, Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett? Yes, I agree with the suspensions. There is a reason you don’t blast lead, even .117 lead, around a crowded campus, especially at night. Reminds me of those dipwits I knew down south who used to fire live 9mm rounds in the air to “celebrate” New Year’s, as if they did not know the bullets would come down somewhere. Bone dumb. Suspend them, and when they are brought back, let’s have Dan Gable return to run their punishment drills. Just plain stupid!

Because they wanted a fur hat! Yeah with that reason they should get a suspension.
So they were going to shoot a rabbit with a BB gun or air rifle to make a fur hat. They should be suspended for stupidity. With their suspension, the average I.Q. of the active students at Iowa probably went up.
