Memorial service today for Iowa helicopter pilot who died in Afghanistan

Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada is hosting a memorial service for a 31-year-old rescue helicopter pilot who died July 2 after a crash in Afghanistan.
Capt. David Wisniewski will be remembered in the 8 a.m. Thursday ceremony at the Air Force "Thunderbirds" hangar on the base outside Las Vegas.
Wisniewski was from Moville, Iowa. He was assigned to the 66th Rescue Squadron at Nellis.
Two other Nellis airmen were also killed in the June 9 crash.
First Lt. Joel Gentz was from Grass Lake, Mich.
Staff Sgt. David Smith was from Eight Mile, Ala.
Also killed were Tech Sgt. Michael Flores of San Antonio, Texas, and Senior Airman Benjamin White of Erwin, Tenn.
They were from the 48th Rescue Squadron at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Arizona.
