CEDAR RAPIDS - The parent Minnesota Twins announced Tuesday that relief pitcher Ethan Mildren has been added to the active roster of the Cedar Rapids Kernels from extended spring training.

Mildren, 22, pitched last season for Rookie-level Elizabethton, recording a 1-1 record and 1.65 earned run average in 12 appearances. In 16 1/3 innings, Mildren allowed 15 hits and struck out 13.

He was a 12th-round draft pick of the Twins last June out of the University of Pittsburgh. The Kernels have a full roster of 25 players.

They play Tuesday night at Great Lakes.
