North Liberty’s interim library director will take over the position full time.

The city announced Monday that Jennifer Garner will head the North Liberty Community Library. She had been interim director since the beginning of the year following the retirement of longtime director Dee Crowner.

Garner had been the assistant library director since 1995.

“Jennie brings experience, enthusiasm and vision to the Community Library,” North Liberty City Administrator Ryan Heiar said in a statement. “She had shown she has ability to lead this cultural institution forward and has done an exceptional job as the interim director.”

Garner’s annual salary is $69,493 a year. Crowner was paid $78,458 annually.
