Coralville government phone service restored

Outage began yesterday, but the city has been able to get service to some numbers

CORALVILLE – The city says all city of Coralville telephone numbers are now working for inbound and outbound calls.

CORALVILLE – A telephone service outage continues to affect Coralville city government phones, but people can still reach city departments and employees.

The outage began yesterday, but the city has been able to get service to the following numbers:

  • City Hall: (319) 248-1700
  • Police non-emergency: (319) 248-1800
  • Recreation Center: (319) 248-1750
  • Transit: (319) 248-1790
  • Library: (319) 248-1850
  • Center for the Performing Arts: (319) 248-9370
  • Streets/Solid Waste/Wastewater: (319) 248-1740

Calls to those numbers can be transferred to any staff or departments, according to a news release. Calls for Brown Deer Golf Course or before-and-after-school programs at Borlaug Elementary or Van Allen Elementary should be directed to the Recreation Center and will be transferred.

The city’s carrier has not said when full service will be restored.
