An Iowa City man is accused of robbing a man by posing as an FBI agent.

According to the Coralville Police Department, on March 19, 51-year-old Dwaine A. Toran met with the victim in a hotel room in Coralville after a "third party" arranged for a sex act with the woman. Police said Toran posed as an FBI agent and refused to let the man leave the room.

Toran took $150 from the man and threatened to arrest and imprison the man if the incident was reported, police said. He has been arrested and faces one count of second-degree robbery, a class C felony.
