Iowa City police investigate shooting at apartment complex

Female victim taken to UIHC for treatmetn

Police in Iowa City are investigating a shooting at the Pheasant Ridge Apartment Complex.

Shortly after 11:50 p.m. Friday, police responded a report of shots fired in the 2600 block of Bartelt Road. When police arrived on scene, they found an adult female who had been shot.

The victim was transported to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for treatment. Her condition at this time is not known.

Officials said that the investigation is ongoing and that anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers at 358-TIPS (8477).

The Iowa City Area CrimeStoppers is offering up to a $1000 cash reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.
