Stamats Communication hired Chris Feit (see photo), previously with Kansas State University, as senior research analyst, and Tracy Thomson, previously vice president and managing director of University Partnerships, as senior consultant in its ESG division.

Collins Community Credit Union hired Candace Pardee (see photo) as director of Learning and Development. She was previously with the Department of Defense at the Naval Station in Mayport, Fla.

Acumen, Cedar Rapids, hired Kelly Smith (see photo) as broker account manager.

RuffaloCODY hired Chris Kula (see photo) as manager of mailing operations and direct mail development.

James Walker (see photo) has joined Rockwell Collins as vice president and managing director of Asia Pacific.

BOARD MEMBERS

UnityPoint Health-St. Luke’s Foundation, Cedar Rapids, named Doug Laird (see photo), Skogman Commercial Real Estate Group, and Niki Lee (see photo), Transamerica, to its board of directors.

First Federal Credit Union, Cedar Rapids, elected five volunteer members to its board of directors. They are incumbents Brad Barvinek, Robin Crawford, Leroy LaBarge, Doug Netolicky and Mike Pickering. Board officers were also elected and are Jim Maher, chairman; Greg Schluter, vice chairman; Mary Lawrence, secretary; and Linda Edwards, supervisory committee chair.

CERTIFICATION

Caitlin Wiedenheft (see photo), United Way of East Central Iowa’s content development specialist, has become a Certified Internet Marketer through the Internet Marketing Association.

The Community Foundation of Johnson County received recertification from the Community Foundations National Standards Board.

NEW MANAGEMENT AND NAME

Rapid Refill Ink has changed management and its name to Corridor Cartridge & More. It still operates at 1388 Twixt Town Rd., Marion, at Collins Road Square, but has a new phone number, (319) 377-5381.

NEW TENANTS

Armstrong Development Co. has leased space to two businesses in downtown Cedar Rapids. StoneRiver Inc., an insurance technology partner, has moved into Suite 405 of the Armstrong Centre Building. CLEAResult Consulting Inc., which designs, markets and implements energy programs for utilities, business and residential energy customers, has moved into Suite 400 of the Granby Building.

Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, has been named a Blue Zones Worksite.

Thomas Anderson, executive director, senior portfolio management director and financial adviser in Morgan Stanley’s Cedar Rapids Wealth Management office, has been named to Barron’s list of America’s Top 1,200 Advisors: 2014 State-by-State.

West Bank, Iowa City, won the 2013 Raymond James Community Bankers Cup award. The award recognizes the top 10 percent of community banks based on various profitability, operational efficiency and balance sheet metrics.

First Federal Credit Union, Cedar Rapids, reported solid financial earnings during its 88th annual meeting, with total assets of nearly $113 million, net worth exceeding 8 percent of assets and net worth position recognized as “well-capitalized.”

WORKSHOPS

“When and How to Elect Social Security Retirement Benefits,” an educational workshop designed for retirees and pre-retirees, will be Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Cedar Rapids Public Library. The workshop is sponsored by Frank A. Varvaris and Associates, Cedar Rapids.
