In a Feb. 25 article in the Washington Post, Jim Lindgren cites some interesting findings from a new National Science Foundation study.

More than one-half (51 percent) of Democrats cannot correctly answer that the earth goes around the sun and that the journey takes one year. And 48.6 percent state that astrology is very or sort-of scientific.
