Cedar Rapids 'Survivor' survives season's first episode with grit and glory

Sarah Lacina made an arresting debut on "Survivor: Cagayan" last night (2/26/14).

Upon arriving in the Philippines, the Cedar Rapids police officer, 29, was immediately chosen leader of her "brawn" team, officially known as the Aparri Tribe. Her first duty was daunting, however. She had to deem one of her teammates the weakest tribe member - the one she would vote off the island before the competition even began.

This popular CBS game of strategy, stealth and stamina - now in its 28th season - seeks to ramp up the drama immediately.
