A Hills man is accused of sexually assaulting a woman in January.

According to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office, the alleged sexual assault occurred at a residence in Hills on Jan. 12. Police said 36-year-old Marcelo Enrique Oyarzun forced himself upon the female victim, despite her repeatedly telling him to stop.

Investigators contacted Oyarzun after the assault was reported. When asked why he did what he is accused of doing, Oyarzun said he didn't know and he was sorry, according to the criminal complaint.

Oyarzun has been arrested and faces one count of third-degree sexual abuse, a class C felony.
