Dependency is not the American dream

It truly is stunning that losing your full-time job is now a “good thing,” according to the Democrats. Why is it good to lose your full-time job or to escape “job-lock,” as Nancy Pelosi puts it? Because with Obamacare, you can work part-time, pursue a hobby, take a vacation, read a bedtime story to your kids, all made possible because you guessed it — you will get government subsidies (i.e. welfare).

According to a Congressional Budget Office report, more than 2 million full-time employees will be better off financially if they quit work entirely. Director Douglas Elmendorf testified this week, “By providing heavily subsidized health insurance to people with very low incomes, and then withdrawing those subsidies as income rises, the Act (Obamacare) creates a disincentive for people to work.”

So, the party of welfare, food stamps and unending unemployment benefits is openly incentivizing and promoting dependency as a way of life for the American people. Dependency equates to votes and power.

Mr. President, this is not what Americans are about. What we want (and demand) is the freedom to pursue our dreams, to work hard, to achieve and keep the rewards of our labor, something you know nothing about.

We reject your “fundamental transformation” and refuse to be enslaved.
