Dandekar adds $180,000 to Iowa 1st District campaign

Democratic hopeful has reported raising $400,000 in two quarters

Swati Dandekar of Marion, one of five candidates for the Democratic nomination in Iowa's U.S. House 1st District, has reported raising $180,000 in campaign funds in the last quarter of 2013.

Overall, Dandekar, a former state legislator and member of the Iowa Utilities Board, has raised $400,000 in two quarters and has $262,000 cash on hand.
