IOWA CITY -- BTN recorded its highest-ever rating for its weekly "Super Wednesday" series in a basketball doubleheader that featured Iowa-Michigan followed by Wisconsin-Minnesota last Wednesday.

BTN earned a 1.5 rating, surpassing the network’s prior best “Super Wednesday” doubleheader on Jan. 30, 2013, of 1.42, according to the network. The ratings came from the network's eight metered markets (Chicago, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Detroit, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis). Iowa does not have a metered market.

No. 21/25 Michigan beat  No. 10/10 Iowa 75-67 in Ann Arbor, while Minnesota upset border rival No. 9/8 Wisconsin 81-68 in Minneapolis.

“The strength of the Big Ten Conference has fans dialed into their basketball teams and fueling our growth,” BTN President Mark Silverman said.

The network's next "Super Wednesday" doubleheader includes Penn State at Ohio State and Northwestern at Wisconsin. BTN has aired 26 games featuring teams ranked in the top 10 this year and will broadcast more than 105 men’s basketball games this season.
