An Iowa City man is accused of brutally assaulting another man over a New Year's Eve argument.

Police said Todd D. White, 35, of Iowa City, got into an argument with another man on New Year's Eve. The argument carried over to the night of Jan. 10 and the morning of Jan. 11 when both men were at the Moose Lodge in Iowa City.

While in the parking lot of the Moose Lodge, White allegedly asked the other man if he wanted "to go." Police said White took off his coat, threw the other man to the ground and kicked him in the face multiple times.

The victim suffered multiple fractures to his skull and facial bones due to the attack, police said.

White has been arrested and faces one count of willful injury causing serious injury, a class C felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
