Thank you, Phil Alexander. Your racially charged diatribe (“U.S. demographics a test disadvantage,” Dec. 22) regarding declining test scores in “race-mixed” America versus racially pure foreign nations reinforced the thesis of my book, which is about the perpetuation of white supremacy in what I call Apartheid America. Our elites — white males, of course — designed a system that created, among other things, a sense of entitlement for whites, but especially males; sense of privilege; a culture whereby whites obtain credit for anything good but blame others for anything bad, especially those who have the least power.
Here is an abbreviated timeline of what has been “politically corrected” to hide truths evident to any who know history to where we see ourselves as exceptional. It began with the arrival of the first illegal immigrants — Pilgrims. Manifest Destiny set in motion the white man’s “legalized” theft of indigenous people’s lands. Slavery allowed lazy whites to kidnap whole families to force them to do their work. A legal system then targets “lesser” people — people of color and poorer whites. Our educational system then is used to ensure disparities that “prove” white superiority by then testing all with the same standardized tests.
End result: It conditions people such as Alexander to feel good about their white skins so they then can blame all ills on “others.”
Latest conditioning to make whites feel better about themselves — introduction of school books that replace references to “slavery” with “Atlantic trade.”
