CEDAR RAPIDS - The Cedar Rapids RoughRiders won their third consecutive game Friday night, as Dylan Steman scored in a shootout for a 3-2 victory over the Chicago Steel.

Goaltender Danny Tirone stopped all three shootout attempts he faced to move Cedar Rapids to 17-12-1, its 35 points good for fourth place in the USHL's Eastern Conference. The Riders are just six points behind first-place Indiana.

Chicago scored the first goal of the game, but the first RoughRider goals from Brennan Sanford and Frederik Tiffels put Cedar Rapids on top through two periods, 2-1. The Steel tied the game on a Patrick Polino goal with under five minutes left in regulation.

The RoughRiders play Saturday night at Omaha.
