In this week's print edition of We Create Here, Gazette reporter Brian Morelli takes a look at how stakeholders in Iowa City are collaborating to prepare for an unprecedented $2 billion in construction projects, which -- while bringing a lot of good to the city, have the potential to place a lot of stress on the workforce pool and other services. Check out the online version for an interactive map of construction projects and photo slideshow of projects already underway.

Also last week, community engagement manager Kiran Sood hosted the first of (hopefully) many informal, public discussions about diversity and related issues, meeting with community members Friday at the Early Bird in downtown Cedar Rapids. She also spoke with Karl Cassell about the Regional Economic Development Institute's work supporting minority-owned businesses and entrepreneurs in Cedar Rapids.

Community engagement manager Sarah Binder captures Cedar Rapids Public Library Director Bob Pasicznyuk's thoughts about leading change, and started exploring our region's rich history of innovation.
