Iowa junior left tackle Brandon Scherff told KDSN, a radio station in his hometown of Denison, Iowa, on Monday that he plans to return for a senior season with the Hawkeyes.
The 6-5, 315 pound Scherff was projected by many NFL Draft experts to be a first-round pick. He was named first-team All Big-Ten by the conference's coaches this season.
Scherff's return would help Iowa maintain a strong running game, especially with the graduations of right tackle Brett Van Sloten and left guard Connor Boffeli, as well as backup tackle Nolan MacMillan.
